HOLY OTHER - We Over

A super glitched out video to a super glitched out and beautiful song.

based out of Manchester, HOLY OTHER is producing some next level shit for TRI▼ANGLE records (home of Balam Acab and oOoOO).  his tracks are spacey, filled with lots of reverb and bass, which he manipulates perfectly to create music that gives off a genuine and sometimes ominous emotional vibe.

check out this video made for his track, We Over.  a heavy bass line accompanied by chopped up vocal samples, and a nice subtle snare make for a lovely three and a half minutes.

White Ring - Faded/BMF Remix

White Ring was one of the first witch house acts i ever listened to and i put them by the way side whilst discovering other sounds.  i under-appreciate them.

they are fucking amazing.

after finding and listening to so many synth/drum machine artists, coming back to White Ring with a new ear makes me truly understand just how fuckin' trill this two piece group is.

i have no idea what the fuck the singer is saying, but it doesn't matter.  it's all gravy when it's matched with some of the most hellish thug production i've ever heard.  count these tracks as evidence.

in Faded, we've got thick kick/snare/clap driven by haunting melodic synths. swag swag swag.

WHITE RING - Faded by flight_2039

swag so fucking dirty, White Ring finally did the proper thing.  channeling their dirty south backbone, they made an entire remix album filled with chopped and screwed hip hop tracks, including an epic remix of Rick Ross' BMF.  bump. this. shit.

Modern Witch - Black Curtains

Modern Witch is a visual/music act based in Amsterdam.

the group has shifted over time, at one point they were as large as 4 artists.  Mario Zoots and Kristy Fenton are the rock-steady regulars.  they're currently together in Amsterdam, playing gigs and plugging away at a new single.

they've graced LA a few times with contributions at the now closed Show Cave (RIP), including a legendary, euphoric dance inducing performance of In Your Eyes.

in Black Curtains, Fenton seems to be experimenting with some vocal manipulation a-la Crsytal Castles (parts very reminiscent to Crimewave) and TEARIST.  it sounds great, and the pair seem to be hitting a great stride together, creating more complex and well put together music.

GuMMy†Be▲R! - I'm Never Wrong

An oldie but a goody by Oakland producer GuMMy†Be▲R!

"I'm Never Wrong" is a cut from his first album, Inauspicious so the sound quality is pretty poor but it does not stop me from bumping it every time i put on my headphones.

the beat and melody have a similar dark ass vibe to GURL the inaudible rantings of some Rasta guy is replaced by a warped and slow rap flow complete with a sick hook.  the track's so super hard, the warped chipmunk sounding vocals still sound fuckin' ganster as hell.
